Wow, with "Ritual Supremacy" we actually cracked the official German album charts with #93 for the first time. You supported SACRED STEEL as a small underground band 29 years ago and, despite a nine-year wait, bought the album in droves right from the release date. This is our tribute to songs like “In Union We Stand” (Overkill) or Metal Church ́s s/t anthem from their debut album, with a fast guitar over a stubborn but easy-going beat. The lyrics deal with a metal biker gang in the style of Mad Max (the movie) or Carnivore ́s post-world-war III (and IV) -scenario. If we would not be a metal band but a biker gang, this would be our club hymn. As so often and as usual, some critics have already slapped us in the face because of the song title - “too clichéd, created with the Manowar text generator” and so on. Anyone who has read and understood the lyrics knows that this is nonsense. And anyone who knows us is well aware that we don't give a shit anyway. We only do this for ourselves and for the people who are into this stuff. And that's why we've packed a lot of your fan footage from all over the world into the video. This is basically our photo collage in video format and our thank you to all supporters to celebrate the release of the album. Have fun!

"This littla ditty is quite catchy! Even though it's fast and furious. We wanted for once start a track with the chorus directly and that's what we did here" Gerrit reveals. "I recently watched the full season of "Ash vs. The Evil Dead" again and remembered that I once took the inspiration for the lyrics to this track from that phenomenal series! All hail Ash!"

Gerrit states: "The beautiful lyric video should speak quite for itself, I guess. The lyrics are written from the perspective of Lucifer, the scapegoat for all things evil on this planet. He's fed up with being the one to blame and points the finger on humanity instead. I think he is right on that one! Musically it's a different beast compared to the title track that we have already showcased. More Sabbath-y and not as aggressive. But nevertheless with a slightly more pissed off attitude, haha."

We chose this to be the 1st single because a) it´s the title track and b) it´s the heaviest track on the album. It´s always good to be back with a bang, right? Lyrically it's about the fact that we all try to differentiate ourselves from others by looking for our own space, our refuge. As metalheads we have found this refuge in the community of other metalheads and within our music. Unfortunately, there are also negative cults in this world and we stand against them with all our might! That´s what the cover art refers to.
SACRED STEEL - announce new studio album “Ritual Supremacy” and sign new record deal with ROAR!
In April 2025, we will release our 10th album “Ritual Supremacy”, which will be celebrated with a performance at the 25th anniversary of the “Keep It True Festival” and many more shows. The album is also the first to feature new members Toni Ieva (bass) and Jörn Langenfeld (guitar), who joined the band in 2023.
“Ritual Supremacy” will be released by our new label partner ROAR (Grave Digger, Holy Moses, Tailgunner and others), whose managing director Jochen Richert, Markus Wosgien (label management) and Lambros Kokkinos (product management) are long-time scene veterans. “These are people we've known for ages and who have been supplying you and us with the stuff we all can't and don't want to live without for at least as long: high-quality heavy metal releases,” Sacred Steel is pleased to say, and: ”When the label A&R first had his entire Sacred Steel record collection signed at the meeting with the band, we just knew: this is the right place for us! With ROAR behind us, we are now ideally positioned to finally release our new album “Ritual Supremacy” worldwide and on a broad basis after more than 8 years since the last release.”
“As a native Swabian and friend of pure heavy metal, you are inevitably connected to Sacred Steel.
